About Our Zen Center

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 6:00am - 7:00am, we have Zoom morning meditation practice.

Once a month on Thursday evenings, we have Dharma Talks at 6:30pm - 8:00pm in-person and online.

Once a week on Thursday evenings, we meet in-person and online for Dharma Talks at the First Congregation Church of Binghamton, 30 Main Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.

On Monday evenings, we meet in-person and online for meditation practice at the Unitarian Universalist Church on 12 Ford Avenue, Oneonta, New York 13820.

For evening practices, there will be 15 minutes of chanting, two 25-minute periods of sitting meditation, and then a reading from “Dropping Ashes on the Buddha” by Zen Master Seung Sahn.

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, we have online morning meditation practice. There will be two periods of 25-minute sitting meditation. Please email Michael at michaelotego14@gmail.com for the Zoom link for online practice.

Meditation instruction and formal Zen practice is led by Senior Dharma Teacher Michael O’Sullivan, a student of Dae Soen Sa Nim (Zen Master Seung Sahn) and Zen Master Wu Kwang from the Kwan Um School of Zen.

The Guiding Teacher of The Three Jewels is Paul Majchrzyk JDPSN.

Paul Majchrzyk JDPSN began studying Zen in 1991 with Zen Master Wu Kwang at the Chogye International Zen Center of New York, and received inka in April, 2009. A former classical/flamenco guitarist with an MA in music, Paul was a Fulbright–Hayes Scholar and toured internationally with the Jose Greco Company of Spanish Dance for 10 concert seasons. He now works in the publishing industry, and lives in New York with his wife and two children.
